National Director of Hospital Revenue Cycle Workflow

The National Director of Revenue Cycle Workflow is responsible for the efficiency of Revenue Cycle staff in all PMH locations.  Ensures that the company realizes the optimal value from allocation of labor to work, including; standardization of work queues, tasks, and triggers within the workflow system.  Evaluates business processes as they interact with technology and recommends improvements to drive value.  Serves as the point of contact with the workflow system vendor and has responsibility to prioritize vendor's resources based on PMH needs.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Ensures assigned duties/deliverables are completed in an efficient manner and in accordance with organizational policies and values. 
  • Demonstrates problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritization of work and resolves issues as they arise in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Develops and executes on short- and long-term goals for the department consistent with established hospital/organization goals and objectives.
  • Researches and designs tactical workflows required for resolving open AR, deploys workflows to PMH work locations, and monitors adherence to new work processes. 
  • Spends time with staff in different roles and locations to understand gaps and opportunities for automation.
  • Partners with CBO leadership on designing work queues customized to each team's unique needs, while applying principles of national standardization. 
  • Communicates work queue change requests to workflow vendor.
  • Creates user documentation for workflow processes that can be used in job aides and new hire training classes. 
  • Assists Revenue Cycle management answer workflow questions from staff.


Minimum Education: BA/BS in Business, Health Administration or related degree. 

Masters Degree (MBA, MHA, etc.) preferred. 

Minimum Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in leveraging technology to improve A/R Management, with at least two (2) years in a leadership roles.Thorough understanding of Revenue Cycle Workflow concepts.
